Scottish style salmon is often times the same as Atlantic salmon which is usually farmed. The fish are typically fed unnatural feed like corn so there go your much needed Omega 3s. If you can verify that your Scottish salmon is wild caught off the coast of Scotland (usually called King), then it’s likely it’s not farmed. To be on the safe side, we always choose Wild Alaskan (or look for the words wild on the package) so we are sure.

I am a huge, huge fan of “dippy eggs” – so I love this idea! YUM! And, since you loved the flavors of this avocado toast recipe, you might also enjoy our Easy Smoked Salmon Breakfast Wrap (and, although it would make the wrap a little more messy and less portable, you could substitute a poached egg for the scrambled egg). Loved the touch of the capers and scallions. The main thing I changed or the main difference I added was a poached egg. But you can do with a fried or a soft boiled egg. As long as you get all that yolk to drip out.The flavor of the dripping yolk onto all those flavors of the avocado, smoked salmon, onion and capers brings it up so many levels. I highly recommend adding an egg. It really enhances the flavors.
