I’m so happy to hear this, Lori – thank you for the terrific feedback! We sure do love these, too! My husband made two double batches of them for Thanksgiving, mostly to put on our “Thanksgiving Salad” and I actually had to hide them if I wanted to have enough left to make the salad, because the kids just wouldn’t stop sneaking them lol! I had some old store-bought candied pecans in the cupboard, but the kids didn’t even want those and said the homemade ones were so much better. 😀 Thanks again for the lovely review – and Happy Holidays!! ~Shelley

I have these already prepared and waiting to add to my salad for Thanksgiving.
I will be making these for our regular dinner salads in the future. My husband asked why he hadn’t had these before? !

So easy and quick to make. I now keep an airtight dish filled and ready in the pantry. A nice addition to a sweet plate, fruit tray, too.

Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Hi, Mary! I’m trying to think what could have caused this. Is it possible you used a little too much water? With such small amounts of ingredients in this particular candied pecan recipe, even a tad more water can make a difference. Ok – but how to fix the problem at this point?? Well, to fix candied nuts that are still sticky after they’ve cooled, the typical strategy is to put them in a very low oven to dry for a few minutes. I’m not positive that will work in this situation, but it should. Watch VERY carefully to be sure the nuts don’t burn. Also – the pecans may still feel a bit sticky when you first take them out of the oven and they’re warm … but hopefully they’ll feel drier and less sticky after they’ve cooled back down again. I hope these suggestions help! Good luck!! 😀 ~Shelley

Can you give me ideas on how to fix this? Thanks
